My story
After working for more than 10 years in language schools, I have come to the conclusion that the most effective method is the one that adapts to your individual knowledge, your needs and most importantly, your schedule.
What I have learned as a teacher over the years is that it is very difficult to monitor oral practices in a group. It is literally impossible to hear what four students are saying if I am trying to correct two. Also, not all nationalities learn Spanish at the same rate. As an example, people who speak a Romance language tend to pick up Spanish a bit easier because of its similarity.
I began to see that each student had unique difficulties. Time and time again, students have asked me to set up private lessons. I felt that I needed to pivot my way of teaching to focus on individuals, making sure they feel comfortable and can learn at a pace that is right for them.
As your Spanish teacher, my goal is to ensure that you learn to speak Spanish fluently and appropriately, but also have some fun during the process!
